Pokemon GO has officially unveiled Dynamax Pokemon and new Special Research coming to the game. The additions are part of Pokemon GO's Max Out season, which will give players new Field Research Tasks, PokeStop Showcases, and a new avatar item.
With Pokemon GO having been available for mobile phones for over 8 years now, the game has to continually update itself in order to keep players engaged. This is a tricky task for developers at Niantic, as they can't include everything from the most recent mainline Pokemon games all at once, or the mobile title will run out of material and stagnate. As a result, certain unique elements like Dynamax Pokemon haven't previously been available in the game, but that's going to change shortly.
