Edmonton looks to simplify their play in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final
THIRD PERIOD
0.0: Game over. The Panthers kill off the remaining time and take a 3-0 stranglehold on the Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final by holding off their third-period push to win Game 3 with a 4-3 winning result. Game 4 will go down on Saturday night with Edmonton needing a victory to stay alive.
1:01: The Oilers have an offensive-zone faceoff with the net empty and over one minute left to find an equalizer. High drama in ICE District as the Oilers look to keep their story in Game 3 going.
5:17:CLOUDER CLIPS IT! ONE-GOAL GAME! Brett Kulak let fly a quick wrist shot from the point that McLeod got a piece of to put it past Bobrovsky for his second of the playoffs, making it 4-3 with over five minutes left in Game 3. Get loud, Oil Country! It's 4-3.
13:58: BROBERG GETS A BOUNCE!The Young Swede takes a shot that looked to be going wide, but it hits a net-side Panthers' defenceman and finds its way over the line. 4-2 Panthers, but the Oilers have life in the third period of Game 3.

SECOND PERIOD
0.0: The Panthers take a commanding 4-1 lead with three goals in the second period of Game 3.
4:27: 4-1 Panthers. Barkov beats Skinner to the blocker side after getting loose on the left during an odd-man rush with Evan Rodrigues. After having their game in the opening 10 minutes of the second period, the Panthers have scored three times in 6:19 to take a three-goal lead in Game 3.
6:03: 3-1 Panthers. Sam Bennett lifts it into the top corner from in close after Darnell Nurse couldn't get the puck out of the danger area around Edmonton's crease before it was intercepted by Matthew Tkachuk.
10:48: The Panthers get their lead back. Stuart Skinner can't get to the puck behind the Oilers net before it trickles out of the trapezoid to Eetu Luostarinen, who then quickly sent it in front for Vladimir Tarasenko to put away. 2-1 Panthers.
18:11: FOEGELE IN ON A BREAKAWAY!... FAR SIDE HE SCORES! Warren was lurking at the blueline where he found wide-open space up the middle of the neutral zone to pick up the unlocking pass from Adam Henrique before sending his uncontested shot glove side on Bobrovsky. 1-1.

FIRST PERIOD
0.0: AFTER 20 | Panthers 1, Oilers 0.
1:02: Panthers punch through to take the lead in Game 1 before the intermission. Off a turnover by Evan Bouchard at the blueline, Barkov takes the puck up the ice and sets up Gustav Forsling to make a back-door pass onto the tape of Sam Reinhart for a redirection behind Skinner.
3:10:Bobrovsky is standing tall in the Cats' create with 12 saves – including two great ones on that last Oilers' power play that made it 0-for-9 in the series for Edmonton, and 0-for-2 tonight.
5:14:After failing to convert their first man advantage, Brandon Montour is called for a careless slash after the whistle on Hyman to send Edmonton back to the power play!
10:05: Sasha Barkov throws the puck over the glass for two minutes and Edmonton's first power play of Game 3!
13:30: Connor Brown gets two chances while shorthanded to mark the best opportunities of that Cats' opening power play.
16:46: Philip Broberg gives the puck up in the defensive zone, which leads to an open look for the incoming Carter Verhaeghe that was stopped smartly by Skinner. Five shots already for Florida almost four minutes into this game.
20:00: GAME ON, OIL COUNTRY! The Stanley Cup Final is here in Edmonton for the first time in 18 years and the Oilers trail in the series 2-0, but they have two games on home ice to change that.
