Let me tell you something, PokeMMO need mods. Especially the encounter counter if you hunt for shiny Pokemons. Though there are other mods too. So, if you’re gonna get into mods, scroll down for the 12 best PokeMMO mods.
In case you’re worrying, these mods are totally legal. You’ll not get banned. In fact, all mods below have been taken from the official forum-page of PokeMMO. Therefore, you can get them and enjoy carefree.
POKEMMO MONEY MAKING METHODS <
Modding PokeMMO is quite easy too. All it takes is simple copy-paste. However, if you have any problem installing, do let me know in the comment section below. I might write a PokeMMO mod installation guide.
1. HD Battle Sprites
PokeMMO Pokemons in battles are static, also 2D. That makes battles kinda bland and boring. HD battle sprites mod fixes this problem.
With this mod, Pokemons will be 3D and animated in battles. So that you can enjoy all battles in PokeMMO with high quality. I mean, it’s 2023, why play with NES graphics? You might enjoy nostalgia, of course. But after a while it gets boring.
Currently this mod covers all Pokemons from Gen 1 to Gen 5, including shinies and different genders.
2. Encounter Counter
Shiny hunting is one of the most popular end-game activities of PokeMMO. Everyone wants shiny Pokemons but it’s too hard to get. The chances are 30.000 / 1. So, it’s super hard to encounter shiny without actively hunting for it.
It’s good to keep track of how many Pokemon’s you’ve encountered while shunting. Otherwise, you might get stuck in a loop without any sense of progress.
Of course, the encounter count is not mandatory. Also don’t expect to encounter a shiny while you’re close to 30.000. Because each and every encounter have 1 in 30.000 chance.
In sum, it’s good to have mod because you want to keep track of your progress while shunting and share it with your team-members.
3. DS Trainers
Well, the first mod I recommend polishes the Pokemons. This one polishes the trainers. Trainers in PokeMMO look ugly. Because their graphics are super outdated. This mod replaces all trainer sprites with higher quality ones.
All in all, DS Trainers mod looks nice and adds up to the must have mod collection.
4. Kanto Graphics Patch
For an old Pokemon fans like me, Kanto is everything. Because that’s where Pokemon saga started with Ash Ketchum. Since Kanto is the oldest region, it has the oldest graphics. Sucks unfortunately.
Kanto is also one of the most crowded / popular regions of PokeMMO. So, you want this mod for sure. Patch includes overhauls the outdoors of Kanto region and some new animations for objects.
5. HD Items
Items in PokeMMO are very important. You’ll be constantly using different items for various reasons. The thing is items in PokeMMO are using super low resolution. Thankfully this mod replaces old item images with crisp high-resolution ones.
Images included in this mode are items, pokeballs, berries, key objects, and more.
6. HD Maps
Pokemmo HD Maps mod overhauls the graphics of Kanto and Hoenn. How? Graphics are simply improved by magnification filter and AI upscaling up to 4x scale.
Slightly upscaled graphics look smoother. I like it very much because it includes the regions I play the most. Kanto and Hoenn.
7. Monster Icons
Monster icons in PokeMMO are also low poly. Now that I look at it, almost everything in PokeMMO happens to be in low poly graphics. Luckily, we have mods for all of that.
This mod simply replaces the monster icons with the HD icons from Pokemon OR/AS and X/Y.
8. Gen 5 Follower Sprites
One of the most enjoyable aspects of PokeMMO is the follower option. Your favorite pokemon leaves the poke ball and follows you anywhere. And everyone can see it.
This mod replaces the textures of Gen 5 followers in Pokemmo.
9. Sparkling Shiny Follower
All Pokemon follower looks the same, even the shiny ones. That’s not right… A shiny Pokemon must be sparkling when assigned as a follower.
This mod adds sparkling animations to shiny followers. Absolutely brilliant. All Pokemons are included in the pack, including Gen 4 – 5 ones.
If you have shiny Pokemons, you want this mod. If you don’t have, go catch one!
10. Pokemon Anime Cries
Here is another mod fixes a problem in PokeMMO. Vanilla PokeMMO has super low quality and limited Pokemon voices.
HQ Pokemon anime cries mod adds quality sounds from Anime to the game. All voices from GEN 1-5 included.

12. Faster Strings
Strings are really important for serious PokeMMO players. Especially for doing end game activities such as shunting, breeding, farming, and fishing. So, what does strings do? Speeds up the game by removing unnecessary dialogues, notifications, and text.
By removing unnecessary text, you can encounter much more Pokemon hordes with strings in the same amount of time. Same for fishing.
With strings, farming is much faster. Especially when you’re berry farming in massive scale for profit.
Breeding without strings take a really long time. If you’re trying to hatch a shiny while using shiny charm, you need strings to breed more pokemons without your charm expires.
