This is the "Porsche 911 (964) Turbo S Flat Nose 1994", a 1/43 scale handmade model car by "VISION". 1/43 Vision Porsche 911 964 Turbo S Exclusive Flachbau 1994 Slate Gray Metallic Description This is the "Porsche 911 (964) Turbo S Flat Nose 1994", a 1/43 scale handmade model car by "VISION". This model is a flat nose Turbo S (light weight version), which is extremely rare among the turbo models of the 964 series, and is said to have been produced in 39 units. Vehicle Description. The third generation 911, the 964 series, was introduced in 1989. Although the looks of the 930 series left a strong impression, about 80% of the body was renewed, the torsion bar suspension that had been one of Porsche's identities was parted, aerodynamic performance was improved to the back of the car, power steering and ABS were installed, and the 4WD model that had accumulated know-how with the 959 was added. The addition of a 4WD model, which was based on the 959's accumulated know-how, was a fitting addition to the new generation of 911s. The 964 series produced many competition models, but the mainstay of the series was the naturally aspirated model, and the turbo was the flagship, strengthening its character as a luxurious tourer. The Turbo S, a lightweight version based on the turbo model, was unique among these models. The engine was tuned to 385 hp, 25 hp more than the standard 3.6-liter turbo. The suspension was also strengthened and lowered by approximately 1.5 inches (3.75 cm). The Turbo S was prepared in various specifications depending on its destination, and a total of less than 100 were produced, with 10 imported to Japan. Of the total of less than 100 cars produced, 39 flat-nose cars were shipped to customers in the United States. Incidentally, the flat nose was also a luxury option that required an extra cost of $60,000 in addition to the base car price of $99,000. Model Description. Based on the prototype data of the 964 Turbo S (Lightweight S), which was built by our company, the front section was arranged with a flat nose, the four mufflers and the rear bumper to accommodate them, the rear wing, and other parts were designed and built based on the prototype data of the 964 Turbo S (Lightweight S). The rear bumper, rear wing, and other exclusive design features were added to the prototype design. Although it would be easier to design a completely new body for the entire car, we chose to use a common body as the framework for the car, so that it would be consistent with the other 964s in our lineup and also highlight the characteristics and differences of each model. The 964 Turbo S flat nose was never officially imported to Japan, but it has the same design as the 924/968 with pop-up lights and a funnier look, instead of the usual retractable type like the 930 series flat nose. We have realistically reproduced the lights in their retracted state. The wheels, which combine white metal disc parts and machined aluminum rims, are also a point of interest, including the elaborate pierced bolt expression, to be enjoyed for their realistic appearance. Five body colors are available: Guards Red, Slate Gray Metallic, Black, White, and Polar Silver Metallic.
